The Cisco 1548 Micro Switch is an affordable, easy to use, 10/100 autosensing Fast Ethernet switch for creating high-performance LANs in small offices and workgroups. A single Cisco Micro Switch 10/100 offers eight 10BaseT/100BaseTX switched ports, making it ideal for connecting high-performance workstations and servers. The Cisco 1548 Micro Switch 10/100 also can be deployed as the LAN backbone in larger office networks aggregating other devices, including the Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100.

Each switch port supports autosensing and autonegotiation features to correctly set the communications speed and duplex mode between connected devices. The Cisco 1548 Micro Switch 10/100 offers the key advantages of simple configuration, low cost, optimal port density, high performance, and flexibility. The Cisco 1548 Micro Switch 10/100 is an integral member of the Cisco Networked Office stack of networking solutions designed for small businesses.
